We are a friendly club and have been going for over 40 years and as a Non-Profit Organisation we have no employees,
Kings Ferry Boat Club is run on a voluntary basis by a management committee drawn from its members who donate their
time to running of the club.
We have gone from strength to strength we now have membership of around 45 mooring holders , social members & launch members.
Over the years we have made vast improvements to the club including a club hut so members can make a cuppa or shelter
from the rain , generator for power, the winch for the boat trolley is now powered by a diesel engine, and have just widened
the slipway. Also we now have purchased the land and after paying back the loans should be able to reduce the mooring fee’s.
Project for this year is to refurbish the boat trolley.
We have a total of 56 moorings to include:-
3 Mud berths for Barges,
18 on the inside Lane,
18 in the middle
17 on the outside
All new members start of on the inside moorings and move out according to seniority.
Moorings are reallocated at the AGM if possible
The train station and bus stop are located just yards away, we are located on the river Swale with easy access to river
Medway and the River Thames, one way and Conyer Creek, Whitstable and Herne bay the other way.
From here the sheltered waters of the rivers Swale and Medway are within easy reach, and it is well placed for trips up the Thames, the East Coast or even a Channel crossing.
